AeroTech is Japan’s only integrated B2B trade show dedicated to the entire aerospace supply chain, from materials and components to manufacturing equipment, MRO, avionics and digital engineering. Scheduled for every June at Tokyo Big Sight, the 2024 edition will occupy East Hall 4-6 together with sister events SubTech (sub-contracting) and MeasureTech (precision measurement), creating a 1,200-booth campus that expects 42,000 engineers, procurement managers and programme directors from Japan, Asia and North America. The three-day programme is built around live demonstrations, technical briefings and one-to-one matching: carbon-fibre lay-up robots, additive machines printing titanium brackets, 5-axis grinders for blisks, non-contact inspection cells that scan fan blades in under 30 s, and AI-based predictive-maintenance software running on edge devices. Keynote speakers already confirmed include JAXA’s director of next-generation aircraft programmes, who will outline Japan’s 2035 zero-emission narrow-body roadmap; a Boeing Japan vice-president describing the 777X folding wing supply chain; and a Rolls-Royce chief discussing the UltraFan demonstrator’s hydrogen-ready power gearbox. Parallel sessions will treat visitors to updates on the latest Mitsubishi SpaceJet successor studies, the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) and the domestic expansion of UAM vertiports. A special “Startup Runway” pavilion will host 40 young companies offering graphene lightning-strike foils, quantum gyroscopes and blockchain parts pedigrees, while a joint METI-JMA conference on export compliance helps SMEs navigate ITAR and foreign ownership rules. Admission is business-card only; foreign visitors can pre-register online for a free badge and translation headset. Evening receptions give suppliers access to tier-1 buyers such as Subaru, Kawasaki, IHI and Honda Aero, making AeroTech the principal marketplace where Japan’s aerospace ecosystem meets, benchmarks and does deals.
