AQUATECH AMSTERDAM, 11-14 March 2025 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, is the world’s largest and most peer-reviewed forum for water technology professionals. Organised by the Dutch trade show specialists RAI Amsterdam and endorsed by the International Water Association, the biennial event expects 25,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors from 140 countries. The audience spans municipal and industrial plant managers, consultants, contractors, OEMs, component suppliers, researchers, regulators and investors looking for proven and emerging solutions to treat, move, monitor and re-use water. The exhibition floor is laid out in six technology zones: membrane, pumps & valves, chemical treatment, measurement & control, digital water, and circular economy. Live demonstrations run every hour, while 40 national pavilions highlight regional innovation clusters from the Netherlands, Denmark, Singapore, Israel, Germany, France, South-Korea and the United States.

A three-track conference runs parallel to the show. Monday’s opening plenary brings together Sunita Narain of India’s Centre for Science and Environment, Henk Ovink, the Netherlands’ Special Envoy for Water, and Singapore’s water agency CEO to debate “Water Security in a +1.5 °C World”. Technical sessions then split into four focus areas: resource recovery, energy neutrality, digital twins and PFAS removal. Over 250 oral papers and 500 poster presentations have been peer-reviewed by the IWA scientific committee. New for 2025 is the “Start-up Village” where 120 young companies pitch to a jury led by XPV Capital; finalists receive a guaranteed speaking slot and a fast-track to the Aquatech Innovation Award whose 2023 winner was a low-energy nitrate-removing biofilm reactor. Returning features include the BlueTech Forum, an invitation-only CEO round-table hosted by O2 Environmental, and the Women in Water luncheon that has become the industry’s largest networking event for female professionals.
