Careers UAE is the Emirates’ longest-running recruitment exhibition built exclusively for UAE nationals. Organised by the Emirates Foundation and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation, the three-day fair takes place every April at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The 2024 edition welcomed 14,000 Emirati job-seekers and 120 public- and private-sector employers ranging from ADNOC, Mubadala and Etihad Airways to Amazon, Mastercard and Emirates NBD. Admission is free for citizens who pre-register, and the format is strictly face-to-face: live booths, on-the-spot interviews and instant offer letters. A parallel agenda of professional-development workshops runs in four theatres around the hall. Morning sessions focus on federal hiring protocols, pension rules and visa procedures; afternoon panels tackle future skills such as AI governance, green hydrogen engineering and Islamic fintech product design. Certified CV doctors deliver one-to-one critiques, while LinkedIn hosts a photo-booth that produces AI-enhanced headshots optimised for recruiter searches. High-profile speakers in 2024 included Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education; Mubarak Hamad Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical & Vocational Education; and Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs. Each gave town-hall briefings on the UAE’s new unemployment-insurance scheme, the Nafis salary-top-up programme and the 2030 target of 75 percent Emiratisation in critical sectors. A dedicated “Future Entrepreneurs” corner offers micro-grants and rapid company-licensing for graduates who pitch sustainable-business ideas to a jury led by Sheraa, Hub71 and the Khalifa Fund. Since its launch in 2002 the fair has facilitated more than 42,000 job placements and internships; organisers expect to breach 50,000 during the silver-jubilee edition.
