CEMAT ASIA is Asia’s largest and most influential trade fair for intralogistics, warehousing, automation, and supply-chain management. Organised by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, the 2024 edition will run 5–8 November at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre as a purely in-person event. More than 800 exhibitors from over 40 countries will occupy 80,000 m², presenting end-to-end solutions ranging from AGVs, AMRs and conveyor systems to WMS software, forklift trucks, cranes and packaging machines. A flagship feature is the AGV & AMV Pavilion where leading Chinese and international brands will stage live demonstrations of autonomous pallet movers and safety navigation. Parallel to the exhibition, the CeMAT ASIA Conference 2024 will unfold over three days under the theme “Smart Logistics Driving Resilient Supply Chains”. Over 120 speakers have been confirmed, including Zhao Xiaojin, Vice-President of JD Logistics; Dr. Markus Selle, Member of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth; and Chen Lurong, Chief Scientist of Geek+. Keynote panels will explore AI-enabled forecasting, 5G-connected factories, low-carbon warehousing, and the globalisation of Chinese logistics technology. Technical forums dedicated to lithium-battery forklifts, cold-chain robotics, and digital twins will offer case studies from BMW, Procter & Gamble, SF Express and JD.com. The show also hosts the annual China Logistics Innovation Contest, where start-ups pitch to investors, and the CeMAT ASIA Job Fair, helping universities match engineering talent with exhibitors. Visitor targets are logistics directors, plant managers, e-commerce fulfilment teams, system integrators and government officials responsible for industrial parks. Roughly 120,000 professional visits are expected, 25 per cent from outside mainland China. Admission is trade-only; overseas travellers can apply for a Shanghai business visa invitation through the organiser’s partner portal. Concurrent events include PTC ASIA (power transmission) and ComVac ASIA (compressed air), allowing attendees to source an entire production and logistics ecosystem in one trip.
