China Adhesive 2024, the 26th China International Adhesives and Sealants Exhibition, will be staged from 19-21 September 2024 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Organised by the China Adhesives and Sealants Industry Association and CCPIT, the three-day event is expected to draw 25,000 professional visitors and 500 exhibitors occupying 25,000 m² of floor space, making it the largest and longest-running adhesive technology platform in Asia. The exhibition is co-located with the Rubber & Plastics Show and the International Chemical Industry Fair, enabling cross-sector procurement and networking.
The show targets formulators, raw-material buyers, equipment engineers, R&D managers and end-users from automotive, electronics, construction, packaging, woodworking, aerospace, rail-transport, renewable-energy and medical-device sectors who need bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation solutions. More than 70 domestic and multinational suppliers have already reserved booths, including Wacker, Dow, 3M, H.B. Fuller, Sika, Henkel, Huntsman, Arkema, Kaneka, Ashland, Hubei Huitian, Beijing Tonsan, Shanghai Kangda and Chengdu Guibao. They will showcase epoxy, polyurethane, silicone, silyl-terminated polyether, hot-melt, pressure-sensitive, UV-curable and bio-based adhesives, as well as dispensing robots, metering pumps, surface-preparation plasma units, rheometers, rheology modifiers and sustainability-certified packaging.
A two-track conference running in parallel features 80 technical papers and nine market-oriented forums. Day 1 opens with a plenary on China’s 14th Five-Year Plan for the adhesive industry, followed by sessions on lightweight bonding for new-energy vehicles, structural adhesives for wind-turbine blades, thermal-interface materials for 5G electronics, and compliance with the revised China VOC limits. Day 2 focuses on bio-based raw materials, recyclable packaging hot-melts, and automated dispensing in battery assembly. Day 3 offers workshops on failure analysis, standard testing methods and export regulatory updates for the EU and ASEAN. Keynote speakers include Professor Zhang Jun from Tsinghua, Dr Li Ming from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and global R&D directors from Henkel and Sika.
On-site features include a Start-up Zone for adhesive-tech entrepreneurs, a University IP Pavilion where Beijing University of Chemical Technology and South China University of Technology will license new patents, and a live Bonding
