RACC Expo is the UK’s largest annual gathering for the refrigeration, air-conditioning, heat-pump, ventilation and low-carbon cooling industries. Scheduled every September at the NEC Birmingham, the 2024 edition will run as a two-day in-person trade show and conference on 18 & 19 September. More than 180 manufacturers and solution providers will occupy 8,000 m² of exhibition space, displaying next-generation refrigerants, energy-efficient compressors, smart controls, heat-recovery systems, tools, components and renewable-cooling technologies. A parallel, CPD-certified conference programme offers 70+ technical and policy sessions split into five theatres: Net-Zero Cooling, Future of Heat, F-Gas & Refrigerant Transition, Data-Centre Cooling, and Service & Maintenance. Keynote speakers already confirmed include representatives from the UK Environment Agency, BEIS, the Carbon Trust, the British Refrigeration Association and major end-users such as Tesco and NHS Estates. Daily highlights include live product launches, safety-critical refrigerant-handling workshops, an installer skills zone and the industry’s prestigious RAC Cooling Awards ceremony on the evening of day one. The event is organised by Datateam Business Media in association with ACRIB, the IOR, FETA and REFCOM. Attendance is free-of-charge for pre-registered trade visitors; the conference sessions carry a modest fee and are expected to attract 3,000 engineers, consultants, facilities managers, building-services contractors, specifiers and policy professionals. RACC Expo positions itself as the marketplace where the supply chain meets regulators, energy managers and retrofitters tasked with delivering the UK’s 2050 net-zero carbon commitment, making it the must-attend date for anyone specifying, installing or maintaining temperature-control and heat-recovery systems.
