The 2025 Beijing International Food & Beverage Expo (BFEXPO) will take place 19-21 May at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Beijing Cuisine Association, the 14th edition is positioned as northern China’s largest in-person trade sourcing fair for food and beverage professionals. More than 1,200 producers from 40 countries will occupy 60,000 sq m, grouped into national pavilions, regional specialities, dairy, beverages, snacks, condiments, frozen foods, organic & health products, meat & seafood, and packaging technology. Exhibitors already confirmed include Mengniu, Yili, COFCO, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Fonterra, Tyson, JBS, Dr. Oetker and regional collectives from Shandong, Heilongjiang and Xinjiang. A concurrent “Global Spring High-end Ingredients Show” will spotlight Wagyu, caviar, truffles and plant-based proteins.

The three-day programme offers two parallel tracks. A technical agenda addresses import policy, cold-chain standards, e-commerce labelling and the new national “dual-carbon” sustainability code; speakers from GACC, Customs, the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center and JD.com will release 2025 compliance checklists. A second business agenda focuses on market entry: “Winning China’s Tier-2 Cities”, “Halal Certification for the Belt & Road”, and “Live-streaming Sales for F&B Brands”. Keynote slots are scheduled for vice-presidents of the China Food Industry Association, Deloitte’s agribusiness partner, and country trade commissioners from Australia, Poland and Chile. Dedicated matchmaking software will pre-schedule 8,000 one-to-one buyer meetings; invited purchasing delegations come from Haidilao, McDonald’s, Carrefour, Meituan, Walmart, 7-Eleven and 300 Beijing hotels.

Side attractions include the World Pastry Championship Beijing qualifier, barista and sommelier showcases judged by the International Sommelier Guild, and daily tasting theatres pairing cheese with Chinese spirits. A “New Youth Snacker Zone” lets 18-30-year-old visitors vote for an innovation award decided on the final afternoon. Admission is trade-only; pre-registration closes 10 May. International visitors can apply for a free business invitation letter for visa purposes.
