ComVac Asia is the leading international trade fair for compressed-air and vacuum technology in Asia. Scheduled for 20 – 22 November 2024 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the 2024 edition will be held concurrently with PTC Asia, the long-established power-transmission and fluid-technology show, and several related industrial events, creating one of the largest technology clusters in China. The show is strictly in-person and spans the entire SNIEC, giving 300-plus exhibitors from 15 countries more than 30 000 m² of net display space. Organiser Messe Frankfurt positions ComVac Asia as the regional meeting point for manufacturers, distributors and end-users of compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, air-treatment components, seals, hoses, monitoring software and energy-services. Visitors are expected from the automotive, electronics, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, textile, petrochemical and energy industries, as well as from general machinery-building and plant construction. The parallel conference “Smart Compressed Air & Vacuum” runs for two days and is free to attend for registered visitors. In 2024 the programme will focus on digitalisation, energy-efficiency benchmarking, predictive maintenance and the integration of compressed-air systems into Industry 4.0 environments. Confirmed speakers include senior engineers from Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, Sullair, Hitachi, Becker, Rietschle and the China General Machinery Association; they will present case studies on VSD+ compressor retrofits, ISO 11011 energy audits, leak-detection with AI cameras, and the use of hydrogen-compatible compression packages. A new “Vacuum Solutions Zone” will highlight semiconductor-process pumps, helium leak detectors and cryo-technology, while a live demonstration area will compare the specific energy consumption of oil-free screw, centrifugal and reciprocating machines under varying load profiles. Complementary match-making software allows visitors to pre-schedule meetings with suppliers, and a student career forum will connect universities with exhibitors seeking young engineers. China remains the world’s largest compressed-air market, and ComVac Asia 2024 is marketed as the fastest route to understand local regulations on energy-efficiency labels, emissions limits and safety standards that will come into force in 2025.
