The China International Pet Care and Supplies Exhibition, better known as CPCAS, is Asia’s largest annual gathering for the pet industry and the fastest-growing pet fair in the world. Scheduled for 22-24 November 2024 at the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the 2024 edition will occupy 140,000 m², unite 2,000+ exhibitors and 3,000+ brands, and welcome 100,000 professional visitors from more than 60 countries. The show is strictly B2B: distributors, wholesalers, retailers, e-commerce platforms, grooming salons, veterinary hospitals, chain stores, importers and investors come to source, network and forecast next-season trends.
The exhibition is divided into eight themed halls: pet food, snacks and additives; smart devices and consumables; aquatics and terrarium; small mammal and bird supplies; grooming and hygiene; health and pharmaceuticals; accessories and toys; and, new for 2024, a 5,000 m² “Future Pet Tech Zone” showcasing AI feeders, health-monitoring wearables and robotic litter boxes. A parallel “New Product Gallery” will stage 300 world premieres judged by an international panel.
A 60-conference Global Pet Industry Summit runs alongside the fair. Confirmed keynotes include Dr. Eric Lyons on pet humanisation economics, Alibaba’s pet category head on live-commerce tactics, and Royal Canin’s VP of R&D on microbiome science. Additional tracks cover regulatory updates for cross-border e-commerce, sustainable packaging, and the Asian pet insurance boom. Morning master-classes offer hands-on grooming, canine behaviour and reptile-husbandry certificates.
Networking is reinforced through nightly “Buyer Match-Up” receptions, country pavilions for Thailand, South Korea and Germany, and a dedicated “Overseas Hosted Buyer” programme that reimburses flight and hotel costs for 1,000 pre-qualified importers. The 2024 show introduces “CPCAS Plus”, a hybrid platform streaming keynotes and virtual booths to 500,000 online registrants, with AI-powered supplier pairing and real-time enquiry translation.
Since its launch in 2015 CPCAS has doubled in size every two years; organisers attribute the momentum to China’s 120 million registered pets and rising “pet parenting” spend. The 2024 slogan “Care, Connect, Create” signals an expanded mission: promoting responsible ownership, facilitating international partnerships and incubating start-ups through a pitch contest whose winner receives exhibition subsidies and road-show slots in Bangkok, Tokyo and Jakar
