The China International Coil Winding, Insulation & Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition (often shortened to the China Coil Winding Expo) is the only specialized trade fair in China dedicated to coil winding, electric-thermal insulation, magnetic materials, motor-manufacturing and power-industry technologies. Scheduled for June 26-28, 2025 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the 2025 edition will occupy 15,000 m² of exhibition space and expects 450 domestic and foreign exhibitors plus 28,000 professional visitors. The event is organized by the China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association Small-Motor Branch, the Insulating-Materials Association of China, and the National Electrician & Electronic Insulation Association, with Hannover Milano Fairs as the joint producer. It is co-located with the Small Motor & Electric-Machinery Exhibition, creating a complete supply-chain platform.
The show targets engineers, procurement managers and R&D staff from manufacturers of motors, generators, transformers, wind turbines, EV powertrains, household appliances, industrial automation and consumer electronics. More than 85% of visitors in 2024 had direct purchasing authority, and 92% rated the event as critical for supplier selection. Exhibitors display winding machines, insertion systems, taping and impregnation equipment, insulation papers, varnishes, magnet wire, magnetic cores, testing instruments, software and turnkey production lines. The 2025 edition will feature an expanded zone for high-voltage insulation and a dedicated area for hydrogen-fuel-cell compressor motors.
A two-day International Coil Winding & Insulation Technology Forum runs parallel to the fair. Confirmed 2025 speakers include Prof. Li Weidong of Xi’an Jiaotong University on ultra-high-voltage insulation systems, Dr. Roland Kuchler from the University of Stuttgart on hair-pin winding design, and Mr. Zhang Hua, chief engineer of BYD Motor, on mass-production solutions for SiC inverter-driven traction motors. Other sessions cover Industry 4.0 coil-winding lines, low-loss magnetic materials, and recycling of wind-turbine stators. The forum offers simultaneous Chinese-English interpretation and is accredited for 12 hours of continuing-professional-development credit by the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineers.
