Earthcon Expo 2024 positions itself as India’s largest gathering for the construction, infrastructure, mining, and building-materials industries, scheduled for 6–8 December at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Organised by the MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai and jointly supported by the Gujarat government, the three-day in-person event is expected to attract more than 15,000 trade visitors, 350 exhibiting brands, and delegations from over 25 countries. The expo floor is divided into thematic zones—earth-moving machinery, concrete technologies, recycled aggregates, 3-D printing, drones, green cement, and EV-based logistics—allowing project owners, contractors, and municipal bodies to compare the newest equipment under one roof. A concurrent CEO Forum will open with Gujarat’s Chief Minister and India’s Union Road Transport & Highways Minister reviewing the state’s ₹2-lakh-crore pipeline of metro, expressway, port and smart-city works; subsequent ministerial panels will focus on financing through the National Infrastructure Master Plan, the viability of hybrid annuity models, and the role of sovereign green bonds. Technical sessions endorsed by the Indian Roads Congress, Institution of Engineers, and CRRI will debate low-carbon concrete mixes, intelligent compaction, cold-recycling of asphalt, and real-time telematics for fleet uptime. Global OEMs such as Volvo CE, Liebherr, JCB India, Komatsu, Schwing Stetter, and Ammann will unveil electric backhoe loaders, hydrogen-combustion crawler drills, and 5G-enabled batching plants; Indian start-ups will pitch modular block-making machines and recycled steel fibre. Daily live demos include a 90-minute quarry simulation where visitors can operate 50-tonne excavators fitted with AI-based collision-avoidance, and a 3-D concrete printing race that builds a 25 sq-m kiosk in under two hours. The organisers have arranged reverse buyer-seller meets with overseas delegations from Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, plus a dedicated “Make-in-Gujarat” pavilion that highlights policy incentives for component manufacturing. Academic partners IITs Bombay and Roorkee will screen research on geopolymer concrete, while a student innovation contest offers ₹10 lakh in grants for sustainable-sand alternatives. Networking features include sunrise yoga for delegates, a heritage walk around Gandhinagar’s step-wells, and an awards night that will recognise the “Most Resource-Efficient Project” and “Safest Mining
