FlowTech Shanghai is Asia’s largest and most data-driven trade fair for fluid machinery, pumps, valves, pipes and compressors. Scheduled every June at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, the 2024 edition will occupy 60 000 m², unite 1 200 brands from 25 countries and expect 45 000 professional visitors. The show is co-located with the ECOTECH CHINA water festival and the BUILDEX building piping zone, creating a single 200 000 m² process-industry ecosystem. The target audience spans petroleum refining, chemicals, power generation, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, shipbuilding, new-energy batteries and data-centre cooling. Leading exhibitors include Grundfos, KSB, Ebara, Sulzer, Flowserve, ITT, Pentair, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Samson, Crane, Velan, Tyco, Chinese giants Shanghai Liancheng, Zhejiang DOYIN and CNP. A three-day agenda runs parallel: the International Pump Valve Technology Innovation Conference dissects zero-leak sealing, low-carbon materials, digital twins and predictive maintenance; the Hydrogen Energy Fluid Solutions Forum covers 1 000-bar hydrogen diaphragm compressors and 700-bar valve safety standards; the Petrochemical Fluid Safety Summit explains API 685 magnetic drive pumps and SIL-certified emergency-shutdown block valves. New for 2024 is the Smart Flow Zone, an arena where 50 start-ups demonstrate IoT-enabled pumps, AI leak-detection sensors and energy-saving retrofits that cut electricity use up to 30 %. A live testing theatre will stage daily head-to-head efficiency shoot-outs under the eye of TÜV and DNV inspectors. Attendance is in-person only; the event is bilingual Chinese-English with simultaneous headsets. Pre-registration is free for trade visitors who upload a business card; on-site tickets cost 200 RMB. Student tours, women-in-engineering breakfasts and a recruitment wall connect talent with exhibitors. FlowTech is organised by the China General Machinery Industry Association, supported by the German Engineering Federation and endorsed by the Pump & Valve Industry Alliance.
