Food Factory Technology Week is a specialized exhibition for food factory and food safety technologies held twice a year in Tokyo and Osaka. The event is Japan's leading exhibition for food technologies, consisting of "Food Factory Automation & Digital Technology Expo" and "Food Safety & Hygiene Expo". The show covers various topics such as automation and digital transformation, food safety and hygiene, food loss and waste recycling, and workplace environment improvement. The event is targeted at food manufacturers, confectionery manufacturers, health food manufacturers, beverage manufacturers, bakery product manufacturers, chain restaurants, and distributors/importers. Exhibitors showcase a wide range of products and technologies including IoT and AI, robots, food processing machinery, AGVs and AMRs, AI inspection systems, insect control, clean room and sterilization systems, sanitary materials, HACCP measures plans, recycling technology, upcycling technology, composters, power generators, safety equipment, air conditioning equipment, personal protection equipment, and powered exoskeletons. The event is free to attend, but visitor registration is required in advance. The registration process includes providing consent for participation and registering children under 18 years old. The event is organized by RX Japan, a leading exhibition organizer in Japan, and is held at INTEX Osaka and Tokyo Big Sight. The event has attracted a large number of visitors and exhibitors in previous years, with 16,335 visitors and 311 exhibitors attending the Tokyo show in 2025 and 7,913 visitors and 207 exhibitors attending the Osaka show in 2025.
