The Go Short Festival is an international short film festival taking place in Nijmegen from April 7 to 12, 2026. The festival features six days of short films from around the world, showcasing innovative and surprising content. The program includes various competitions, reflections on current events, and a showcase of new and experimental films. The festival is divided into seven program lines: Competitions, Reflections, Refresh, Best of the Fests, Late Night, Talent, and Family. The Competitions line features the European, New Arrivals, Dutch, and Music Video competitions, showcasing the best short films from Europe and film schools. The Reflections line explores current topics from different perspectives, offering a collection of short films on a single theme. The Refresh line features innovative and experimental films that push the boundaries of traditional filmmaking. The Best of the Fests line showcases the highlights of recent film festivals, including Oscar Shorts, International Highlights, and Comedy Shorts. The Late Night line focuses on genre films and immersive experiences, including horror, queer erotica, and animation. The Talent line highlights new and emerging filmmakers, featuring local and international talent, film students, and young curators. The Family line is designed for young film enthusiasts, offering a range of films for different age groups, including a special 2+ program for young children. The festival offers various ticket options, including single tickets, day passes, and festival passes, which grant access to all films and events.
