Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) is Asia’s flagship springtime trade show for consumer electronics and components. Scheduled for 13-16 April 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the four-day event will occupy two floors and host more than 3,500 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions. The fair is strictly business-to-business; admission is free but limited to trade buyers, importers, distributors, retailers, system integrators and R&D professionals aged 18 or above. A parallel online platform will run from 13-23 April, allowing 3D booth visits, AI-powered sourcing and live-chat negotiation.

The 2025 edition is built around five macro-themes: AI & Edge Computing, Sustainable Tech, Mobility & Wearables, Smart Living and Advanced Components. The show floor is segmented into zones such as Brand Name Gallery, Start-up Express, 3D Printing & Robotics, Power Bank & Wireless Charging, and the debuting Micro-Electronics & Sensor Systems zone. More than 200 start-ups shortlisted by a venture-capital jury will pitch on-site, competing for the HKTDC Innovation & Technology Award whose cash prize has doubled to USD 50,000 this year.

Keynote speakers confirmed as of March include Dr. Lisa Su, AMD chair and CEO; Panasonic’s Tetsuro Homma; and Alibaba Cloud’s Selina Yuan. They will headline the Tech Forward Summit whose agenda spans AI-on-Chip design, supply-chain decarbonisation, post-quantum cryptography and the commercialisation of XR glasses. Over 100 parallel forums, product launches and buyer matching sessions are scheduled; the popular “Global Sourcing Nights” return, pairing 1,200 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with evening networking receptions.

New for 2025 is the “Regulation Ready” clinic where exhibitors can book 15-minute slots with accredited labs to pre-check products against incoming EU Radio Equipment Directive and US FCC standards. Visitor services include free shuttle ferries from Shenzhen, on-site business-translation app, and a carbon-offset badge programme verified by the Hong Kong Observatory.
