The China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, better known as IACE China, is Asia’s largest and the world’s fifth-largest air show. Held biennially in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, the 2024 edition will run from 12-17 November at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center. Organised by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology, the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition Commission and the People’s Liberation Army Air Force, the event is sanctioned by the State Council and certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. More than 900 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions are expected to occupy 200,000 m² of indoor and outdoor space, including eight themed pavilions and a 130,000 m² static aircraft park. The exhibition is open to trade visitors for the first three days and to the general public on the final weekend.

The programme is built around ten technical zones: civil aviation, military aviation, unmanned systems, commercial space, avionics, engines, MRO, airport equipment, emergency rescue and emerging technologies. Highlights include daily flying displays by the PLAAF August 1st aerobatic team, the Saudi Hawks and the Russian Knights, plus the first public demonstration of China’s AG600 large amphibian and the debut of COMAC’s C919 in an overseas-oriented configuration. A two-day summit, the China International Aviation & Aerospace Forum, will gather 250 speakers such as COMAC chairman He Dongfeng, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, Rolls-Royce CTO Grazia Vittadini and FAA deputy associate administrator for safety Ali Bahrami. Parallel streams will debate sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen propulsion, low-altitude airspace reform, urban air mobility certification and supply-chain resilience.

The concurrent China Aerospace Forum will host heads of the China National Space Administration, ESA director-general Josef Aschbacher and NASA representatives to discuss lunar exploration, commercial cargo and megaconstellation governance. A dedicated 15,000 m² UAV pavilion will showcase the Wing Loong-3, FH-95 and JOUAV CW-40, while a 5,000 m² space pavilion will exhibit the new-generation recoverable satellite platform and commercial launch vehicles from Galactic Energy, LandSpace and CAS Space. Start-ups compete in the Zhuhai Airshow Innovation Contest for RMB 3 million in prizes and potential orders from AVIC, CETC and CASC.
