The IFFA - The World's Leading Trade Fair - Technology for Meat and Alternative Proteins is a comprehensive exhibition covering the entire market for processing, packaging, and selling of meat and alternative proteins. Held in Frankfurt am Main, the event took place from May 3-8, 2025, and attracted 63,117 visitors from 144 countries. The majority of attendees were from the protein processing industry, with significant representation from the food retail, packaging, butchery, and spices industries.
The event showcased innovative solutions in automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics, with numerous exhibitors presenting groundbreaking AI-supported and data-driven process intelligence. Companies also displayed a wide variety of innovative ingredients, trends in craft meat processing, and new products made from alternative proteins.
The IFFA 2025 featured a rich program of lectures and talks, which were recorded and made available on the Foodtech Now! content hub. The event also offered a World of Skills and Sales, where first-class craftsmanship and innovations for the butcher trade were on display.
The IFFA is a leading platform for the global food industry to experience innovation and networking. The event is organized by Messe Frankfurt, which also hosts three other trade fairs for the food industry. The IFFA is scheduled to return in 2028, with the dates set for May 13-18, 2028.
