in-cosmetics Asia is the leading exhibition and conference for personal-care ingredients suppliers and finished-product manufacturers across East, South and South-East Asia. The 2024 edition will be staged 5-7 November at the BITEC exhibition centre in Bangkok, Thailand, and is expected to host more than 450 ingredient and service providers from 30 countries plus 8,000 regional formulators, R&D managers, marketers and regulatory professionals. The show floor is divided into zones dedicated to actives, functional ingredients, naturals, lab equipment and testing solutions, while the adjacent educational programme runs in parallel across three theatres. The Scientific Programme, curated by the in-cosmetics technical committee, opens with a regulatory update on ASEAN cosmetic harmonisation, followed by sessions on microbiome-friendly preservation, blue-light protection, alternate-animal testing methods and post-biotic skin care. The Marketing Trends track explores K-beauty 3.0, waterless formats, inclusive beauty and the rise of Thai indie brands. A new Sustainability Trail highlights suppliers whose ingredients are certified carbon-neutral or derived from up-cycled agricultural waste. Confirmed keynote speakers include Dr. Ng Lee Kiang, senior dermatologist at Singapore National Skin Centre, who will present clinical data on tropical-skin barrier function; Shiseido’s APAC innovation director Yuki Kobayashi on neuro-cosmetic textures; and L’Oréal Thailand’s regulatory affairs head Ploy Radomphon discussing the impact of upcoming plastic micro-bead bans. Visitors can also attend live formulation labs where chemists demonstrate cold-process emulsification and solid shampoo extrusion, or join 15-minute speed-science presentations at the Innovation Zone. The in-cosmetics Asia Prize will recognise the most innovative natural ingredient, while the Formulation Challenge lets regional chemists compete to create a pollution-defence serum judged by a panel of brand buyers. Admission to the exhibition is free for pre-registered trade visitors; conference sessions require a paid delegate pass. The event is organised by Reed Personal Care and supported by the Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association, COSMED France and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists Thailand.
