China International Technology Expo (CITE) is the only state-level, professional fair dedicated to the full technology supply chain. Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Science & Technology, the 2024 edition will be staged 13-15 June at the Beijing Exhibition Center. The show is designed for corporate technology officers, R&D directors, procurement managers of Fortune 500 and leading Chinese manufacturers, regional investment-promotion agencies, university tech-transfer offices, venture-capital and private-equity partners, and policy makers responsible for industrial digitalisation. More than 600 exhibitors and 30 000 trade visitors are expected.

The three-day programme is built around six vertical halls: Artificial Intelligence & Big Data, Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics, Green Energy & Power Storage, Biotech & Health-tech, New Materials & Nanotech, and Smart Vehicles & IoV. Each hall pairs an exhibition zone with a two-track forum. Plenary sessions in the morning explore macro themes such as “Tech-driven New Quality Productive Forces” and “Global R&D Collaboration under Decoupling Pressure”. Parallel summits in the afternoon drill into sector specifics—AI large-model compliance, solid-state battery mass production, CGT regulatory pathways, industrial metaverse standards, etc.

Keynote speakers confirmed include Academician Zhang Yapin, vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Robin Li, CEO of Baidu; Dr. Lisa Su, chair & CEO of AMD; Chen Zhaojun, president of CATL; and Nobel laureate in Chemistry Dr. Michael Levitt. Over 120 corporate chiefs and 50 university lab heads will join round-tables on open innovation, patent pools, and cross-border M&A.

For the first time CITE 2024 introduces “Tech-Match 1+1”, an online appointment system that allows buyers to pre-select suppliers and arrange 15-minute meetings on site. A Demo-Day stage will host 200 pre-A to B-stage start-ups pitching to 300 investors; the top 20 receive a fast-track landing subsidy worth up to RMB 5 million in cash and office space. An “Ethics & Governance Corridor” displays China’s latest standards on algorithm transparency, data export review, and AI-generated content labelling.

The event is held in-person; simultaneous interpretation Chinese/English is provided in all conference rooms, and overseas visitors may apply for a 144-hour visa-free entry. Attendance is free after an online real-name registration that closes 5 June.
