Key Energy is Italy’s leading fair for renewable energy, energy storage, efficiency and sustainable mobility, returning to Rimini Fiera on 5-8 March 2025. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group, the 17th edition expects 1,200 brands, 650 start-ups and 100,000 sqm of exhibition space, confirming its role as the Mediterranean hub where technology suppliers, project developers, utilities, investors and public administrations shape the next energy transition cycle. The 2025 programme is built around six thematic halls: SOLAR, STORAGE & HYDROGEN; EFFICIENCY, GRIDS & AI; E-MOBILITY & CHARGING; WIND & OFFSHORE; SUSTAINABLE CITY; and GREEN BUILDING, each hosting live demonstrations, product launches and match-making sessions. More than 450 accredited speakers have already been confirmed, including European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson, RWE Renewables CEO Katja Wünschel, IEA Chief Economist Tim Gould, Elettricità Futura president Marco Bonometti, Terna innovation director Valentina Paffetti and Enel Green Power CTO Giuseppe Serrecchia. The central FORUM stage will run 120 hours of keynotes and panels on the most pressing issues: the EU Net-Zero Industry Act, Italy’s PNIEC 2023 update, agrivoltaics, floating PV, next-generation batteries, green hydrogen bankability, bi-directional charging and the integration of AI into smart grids. A new “Energy Storage Academy” will offer certified training on lithium, sodium and flow batteries, while the “Hydrogen Knowledge Trail” provides live tutorials on electrolyser maintenance and safety protocols. Start-ups compete in the annual Start-Up Award whose 2024 finalists raised €180 million within six months after the show. The event is held in-person, but all conference sessions are streamed on the digital platform Key Energy Live and remain available on demand for 30 days. Admission is trade-only; students and researchers benefit from reduced passes.
