The Leipzig Book Fair is the premier event in the spring for the book and media industry, bringing together readers, authors, publishers, and media companies from Germany and around the world. The fair, which will take place in conjunction with Manga Comic Con and Leipzig liest reading festival, is a must-visit event for the industry. It is the most important get-together for the book and media industry, offering a diverse range of literature, innovations, and new perspectives.

The event will feature 2,044 exhibitors from over 54 countries, showcasing their products and services in various exhibition areas. These areas include offers for authors, fiction and non-fiction, children, youth and education, book art & graphics, art colleges, and service providers of the book industry. The exhibition areas also cover non-book, specialist book, non-fiction & science, audio world, film & media, international, art book, music, travel, religion, newspapers and magazines.

The Leipzig Book Fair will host 3,500 participants in 3,100 events at 300 locations, making it a hub of activity and networking opportunities. Journalists from around the world will also be in attendance, with approximately 3,658 expected to cover the event.

The fair is organized by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association (Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels e.V.) in their capacity as ideal sponsor. The event is a must-visit for industry professionals, with 313,000 visitors expected, including 55,000 trade visitors. The fair will take place from 18 to 21 March 2027, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the latest developments in the book and media industry.
