Liber 2026 is a comprehensive international book fair that will take place in Barcelona from September 29 to October 1, 2026. The event is designed to bring together professionals from the book industry, including publishers, authors, agents, and distributors, to facilitate business, networking, and knowledge sharing. The fair is expected to attract 9,000 professionals from around the world, including editors, associations, specialized press, booksellers, international buyers, authors, distributors, libraries, literary agents, service companies for the book industry, importers, rights buyers, and public and university institutions.

The event will feature a range of activities, including a competition for illustrators, a design contest for the fair's image, and a program of buyers, prescribers, editors, and literary agents. Ten speakers will participate in the event, providing insights on the latest trends and challenges in the industry. The fair will also include five activities, including conferences, round-table discussions, and a gala to recognize excellence in promoting books and reading in Spanish.

The fair will have several exhibition areas, including a main exhibition space where editors, authors, agents, and distributors will showcase their products and services; a Services to the Industry zone offering professional solutions for editing, printing, production, and technology; a MicroLiber area for small publishers, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to connect with buyers and visitors; a Rights Salon where rights are bought and sold, and agreements are negotiated; and an Agora stage for presenting new products, sharing knowledge, and debating industry trends.

The fair aims to promote business, knowledge, and networking among professionals in the book industry, providing opportunities for growth and innovation. It is organized by Fira Barcelona, in collaboration with the Federation of Publishers' Guilds of Spain, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, ICEX, the City Council of Barcelona, and the Government of Catalonia, among others.
