Regenerative Medicine Expo Japan – RegenMed – is the largest and most comprehensive regenerative-medicine-dedicated trade show and conference in the Asia-Pacific region. The 2024 edition will be held 26-28 June at Tokyo Big Sight, co-locating with the 15th BioPharma Expo, 6th Medical Device Development Expo, and 11th Pharma R&D Japan, turning the venue into a three-day one-stop hub for cell, gene, tissue and organ-based therapeutics. More than 420 exhibitors—from CDMOs, CROs, reagent suppliers, bioprocess equipment makers, law firms and start-ups—will occupy 1,100 booths, while 18,000 pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device professionals are expected to visit. The concurrent World Regenerative Medicine Congress Japan 2024 provides a 100-speaker scientific program chaired by Professor Masaki Iwasaki of Showa University and Dr. Koji Tamada of Yamaguchi University. Plenary sessions will open with the PMDA’s latest guidance on expedited approval for cell and gene therapies, followed by talks on global regulatory convergence by the U.S. FDA and EMA. Parallel tracks will drill into iPSC scale-up, CRISPR off-target mitigation, allogeneic NK-cell manufacture, automated closed-system expansion, viral-vector yield optimisation, and quality-by-design analytics. A dedicated “Hospital-Industry Collaboration” zone will showcase real-world logistics for bedside cell processing, while an investor forum pairs venture funds with regenerative-medicine start-ups. New for 2024 are live demo theatres where visitors can operate single-use bioreactors, robotic fill-finish lines and cryogenic shipment simulators. Admission is trade-only; English and Japanese simultaneous interpretation is provided in all conference rooms.
