TEFAF Maastricht is a premier art fair that brings together 7,000 years of art history under one roof, showcasing over 260 prestigious dealers from around 20 countries. The event, taking place from March 13-18, 2027, attracts art professionals and connoisseurs globally, including major private and institutional collectors, art consultants, interior designers, dealers, students, and culturally curious individuals.

The fair features a vast array of art and design, including Old Master paintings, antiques, classical antiquities, modern and contemporary art, photography, jewelry, 20th-century design, and works on paper. The fair is divided into ten sections: Ancient Art, Antiques, Design, Jewelry, Modern & Contemporary Art, Paintings, Works on Paper, Showcase, Focus, and Arts of Africa & Oceania.

A unique aspect of TEFAF Maastricht is its rigorous vetting process, with around 200 experts organized into 30 specialist vetting committees examining every object for sale at the fair for condition, quality, and authenticity. The Art Loss Register supports this process, allowing buyers to purchase with confidence.

The fair's curational Focus section is dedicated to solo artists, featuring masterpieces of Abstract Expressionism, Scandinavian and De Stijl design, and expositions on French Realist painting, African Modernist ceramics, and American photography. The TEFAF Showcase section provides a platform for the next generation of art dealers, with nine featured galleries representing seven countries.

TEFAF Maastricht also offers a rich lineup of programming, including in-person talks that connect collectors and visitors with leading experts from the global art community. The talks aim to foster conversations between illustrious minds, covering industry insights and inspiring new and experienced art collectors and lovers.

The event's goals are to provide a platform for art dealers to showcase their finest works, facilitate connections between collectors and experts, and promote art appreciation and education. The target audience includes art professionals, collectors, dealers, students, and anyone interested in art and culture. The format of the event combines exhibitions, talks, and networking opportunities, making it a comprehensive and engaging experience for attendees.
