UK Care Week is the largest integrated event for the care, residential nursing and commissioning sector in the United Kingdom, taking place 11-12 June 2025 at the NEC, Birmingham. More than 5,000 owners, directors, registered managers, nurses, commissioners and policy makers are expected to converge for two days of policy briefings, leadership masterclasses, hands-on product demonstrations and networking designed to accelerate quality, compliance and commercial resilience across the £16 billion adult social-care market. The centrepiece is a six-stream conference curated by sector regulator the Care Quality Commission and trade body Care England. Stream one, “Regulation & Quality”, will unveil the CQC’s new assessment framework and digital inspection portal; Stream two, “Workforce”, tackles international recruitment, apprenticeship reforms and wellbeing budgets; Stream three, “Learning Disability & Autism”, focuses on mandatory sensory training and the forthcoming Oliver McGowan code; Stream four, “Digital & Data”, explores cyber-security, AI scheduling and NHS interoperability; Stream five, “Funding & Sustainability”, dissects fair cost of care, insurance captives and green financing; Stream six, “Nursing & Clinical”, updates on medicines optimisation, wound care and palliative DNACPR. Plenary keynotes confirmed for 2025 include Health and Social Care Secretary Rt Hon Wes Streetham, CQC CEO Kate Terroni, NHS England National Director for Social Care John Stewart and ADASS President James Bullion. Over 200 exhibitors occupy the co-located exhibition: CareTech, HC-One, Four Seasons, Barchester, Oomph Wellness, Person Centred Software, Nourish, everyLIFE, Alcura and NHS England Digital Transformation Team will launch new compliance, workforce and e-mar solutions. Fringe features include the Care Innovators Pitch, a Student Nurse Career Zone, a Dementia Friendly Design Showcase and daily dementia bus tours. The event is free to attend for registered care providers, local authorities and NHS staff; commercial suppliers purchase exhibition space. CPD certificates are awarded for up to 16 hours.
