UK Cyber Week is the United Kingdom’s flagship gathering for cyber-security professionals, policy makers, technology vendors and academic researchers. The 2024 edition will be staged as a hybrid conference from 17-19 June at the ICC Belfast, with a parallel digital stream for remote delegates. Organised by the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre, the three-day programme is built around four thematic pillars: national resilience, secure-by-design innovation, cyber skills and diversity, and the race to secure AI. More than 120 speakers have been confirmed, including NCSC CEO Lindy Cameron, Home Office Security Minister Tom Tugendhat, Microsoft UK CEO Clare Barclay, Darktrace founder Poppy Gustafsson, BT Group CISO Howard Watson, and the Bank of England’s executive director for cyber risk, James Proudman. A 160-booth exhibition hall will showcase emerging products from start-ups vetted through the NCSC for Startups accelerator, while a parallel “Policy Lab” invites public-sector attendees to co-draft guidance on ransomware payment disclosure and IoT labelling. Day one opens with a plenary on the UK Cyber Security Strategy refresh; day two is devoted to technical deep-dives on cloud hardening, supply-chain attestation and quantum readiness; day three concludes with the annual “Cyber 9/12” strategy competition final, where university teams brief a mock COBRA committee. CPD credits are available for CISSP, CISM and GCHQ Certified Professional re-certification. Networking features include a women-in-cyber breakfast, a careers fair for service-leavers, and an evening reception aboard HMS Caroline.
